Meet Dr. Michelle Nguyen

Dr. Michelle Nguyen was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated Summa Cum Laude at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and went on to earn her medical degree at the UCLA School of Medicine. During her medical training, Dr. Nguyen was drawn to the field of ophthalmology because of the ability to improve vision through surgery. By further specializing in oculoplastic surgery, she is able to help patients improve the health and beauty of their eyes.   Dr. Nguyen’s surgical talent is led by her thoughtful approach in creating a customized plan that restores the natural beauty of each patient’s unique features. She believes that the key to a successful surgical result is through improving vision while also enhancing each patient’s individual beauty rather than changing it. Dr. Nguyen’s meticulous attention to detail combined with her patient-centered approach allows her to provide each patient the opportunity to see their best and look their best.

 

Dr. Nguyen specializes in upper and lower lid blepharoplasty (removing excess skin and fat from the upper and lower lids), eyelid lifts, brow lifts, and Mohs eyelid surgical reconstruction (eyelid reconstruction after skin cancer removal). She performs minimally-invasive procedures such as Botox injections (for improvement and prevention of wrinkles and to treat hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and migraines). Dr. Nguyen also treats common eyelid conditions such as dry eyes/blepharitis and removal of chalazion/stye, skin tags, cysts, and bumps on the eyelids.

In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She is proud to now call Tennessee home and continue serving the growing communities in Middle Tennessee.
